15-17 July :)

Hey there!!
Only 9 more days to go!!! :(
Last weekend I went out with Katrin (a new friend from Austria, but she's going to break up her 2 months as a summer au pair!) ans Kay!! It was soo much fun!! We went to Lotus and Lima Club! :)

I also just filled out my Program Completion From!! that makes me really sad!! :(

Yeah.. well there is actually not much to say about my weekend.. it was not that exciting.. I chatted with some friends, watched the Harry Potter Movie (there was a fire alarm at the movie theatre!) I believe that someone didn't get a nice seat for the Potter movie and triggered the Fire alarm!! hahaha

And on Sunday I went to Cosco to buy some stuff for Bianca's and my "Goodbye- Party" this saturday!! :(
Afterwards I met with Katrin and we walked around in the City (White House,..) and after that I met Anne and Marike and we together we went to the Iowa Jima Memorial and to the Arlington Memorial!! It was a really nice day though!! :D

4th of July

Well.. the 4th of July was a long and very hot and humid day!! We met at 9 in the morning to save some nice spots for the Parade (which was at 11)! But I was kind of disappointed, because it wasn't really differnt from the other ones I saw.. After that we walked around at the festival and then we already headed to the concert, where we had to wait like 4 hours (in the sun!) The area in front of the Capitol was packed!! Luckily we went there early enough to save some nice spots!! Everything was crowded --> The whole Mall, the area in front of the Capitol, Monument, White House, Lincoln Memorial.. It was crazy!! The concert war pretty cool!! There were celebreties like Little Richard, Kelli O'Hara, Steve Martin, Matthew Morrison, Josh Groban, Jordin Sparks (American Idol Winnerin) and some more..

And after the Concert we headed to the Monument to watch the Fireworks!! But they also shot some canons (during the fireworks) so we had a smoky cloud in front of the Monument.. but it was still nice! But I expected more since they told us that it's the biggest firework in America..
We were also thinking to go to Anthony`s 4th of July party, but the other stuff was more important to us!

Then on the 9th of July I went with Marika to the Pentagon City mall to watch the "American Next Top Model" casting.. it was soo weird, there were at least 70% of the people black!! But it was funny to watch!! Afterwards we walked to the Pentagon Memorial and to the Airforce Memorial!! I was melting, seriously!! I hate this heat here!! And then at night I went to meet Vanesa at Dupont Circle for our "Pub Crawl". We smoked a "Hookah" and went to a couple pubs.. it was a hilarious night! :D And the next morning we went together to the Washington National Cathedral (I saw a little Darth Vader Statue on the Cathedral Wall)

This week I just went to the pool and to the spray park (with the kids of course) to cool down a little bit. I also went with Joe and the kids to St. Michaels (Maryland) to the Riverhouse to meet his parents there.. While Joe went sailing I jumped with the kids and the grandparents in the pool!! Moreover I went on a Kayak- Tour with the grandmother!! I loved it!! That was a really great day, full of fun!! :D
Today I had dinner at the German Beergarden!! It was soo funny there.. listening to german songs ans reading german menues!! But the waiter didn't understand right when I ordered in German, even though the menu was written in german.. anyways, it was a nice dinner!! ;D

Well, only 11 more days to work!!!! My year is almost over and I can't believe it!!!
Soon I'll go on my travel month... and then I finally come back!!! :( or :) I can't decide!!

June- summary :D

Hello!! :D

On June 17th I went with Vici, Annika, Anne and Julia to a Marines Concert. Ich hab mich bei so einem Marine Typen einhängen müssen beim rein gehen... it was so hilarious!! The concert was really nice, but I actually expected more.. Most of the time was a big brass band playing... the best part though was when the marines showed us some tricks with their guns! :) Afterwards we went to the Hawk'n Dove.. OMG it never has never been so exciting there.. because Vanesa hung up her purse and 5 minutes later she turned around to check on her bag- but it wasn't there anymore!! We were soo freaked out!! So we went downstairs to the doorman and told him about what happend, but he was like, I am sure it's somewhere!! Luckily he was right!!! Somebody from the staff took her purse and put it in the storage room!!
The following day I went with Vanesa to the Soap Box Derby, which was pretty cool! But after a while it got really boring, so I met Jess and Marika to walk around at the Mall..

On July 23rd I went into the white house, again!! :P It was pretty cool, because this time I had my private guide who knew a lot about all the pictures and locked doors!! :D And I didn't have to wait in line that long...
Normally it's kinda hard to get into the white house, but I went there twice.. Well, all u need is a good source!! :P
After the white house I went with my hostdad and the kids to the nats game --> Nats vs. Seattle!! we WON!! :D First it was a little boring, but in the end the Nats made some points and it got more exciting! :D People jumped up and cheered.. so funny! :D

On Friday I went with Bianca to the Movies -> Bad teachers. It was hilarious!! :D
After the movie we went to rocket bar to play a little dart!! That was a BIG mistake!! I mean playing dart was pretty cool, especially because I won all the time, but we shouldn't have gone to that bar!!! This bar tender gave as shots and beer for free all the time --> we got soo busted. And then we also met this guy who paid us some jello- shots!!! It was sooo gross!!!!!! :-O

On Saturday I went with my crew to the Spot- Club (sex on the beach and sand in your thong). But I didn't like it that much! I mean it was ok, but I hated all this people with their water guns!! :(
On Sunday I wanted to go to DC's barbecue festival, but it was too expensive so we decided to go bowling!! It was really fun, even though I didn't win!! ;-)

Last week I went with Maeve to a spray park!! It was really fun, even for me! :P
I really wanna go back there, but next time I'll bring Ronan too! I am sure he'll like it!! But he was in Baseball Camp last week, so he couldn't come!! But one day we went swimming after the camp! I am glad the kids liked it, even though it was just a small pool!! But it's easier for me to have an eye on both of them...

4th of July weekend!
I am really excited about the 4th of July weekend!! :D On Friday I had a little Party in my house and then we headed to the Hawk'n Dove, again! Well.. It's kinda the only place where my underage friends can go in!! But it was fun though! :D
On Saturday I went with Marika (sweden) and jess (australia) to Mount Vernon, to see how George Washington (1st President of the U.S.) lived!
I think that the 15 bucks were totally worth it!!! U could watch movies, go into his house, walk around on the land, see the thomb where he's buried, go to a museum and much more!! It was really nice and beautiful there!! :D

Yeah and tomorrow I'll go to the mall and watch the 4th of July Parade, Firework and maybe I'll watch the concert as well, but it depends more of the crowds! I won't watch the concert if there are too many people!!

Hmm... I am sooo sad!! Only 4 more weeks, then it's time to say goodbye!! How sad is that!?!!? I don't wanna leave!!!
